The Dispatcher would write:
There appears to be a large group of characters sitting in a tavern, having a few drinks and relaxing, while waiting for the local blacksmith to finish shoeing their horses and mending their swords. You decide that you want your character to be at the same bar having a drink nearby the characters.

Your message might go something like this...
Rolf Bloodsword stands at the bar looking around at the other customers. He begins to notice the group sitting at the table, and also noticing that they are a rowdy bunch and just might be the right people to connect with for a future job. Walking over to their table, Rolf stands beside the lead character and says, "Hello travelers. I'm looking for a job. I don't suppose your group could use a good warrior and an expert horseman? Perhaps a round of drinks would help you make up your minds?... Bartender!... Another round over here please!"

Now here is the part where Character Interaction takes Place:
Player Dirk replies with:
"Get lost you bloody sheep tamer-- We ain't got no flaming work for you." Dirk Thrustgood snorted from above his tankard of ale. He smirked to himself.

"Now, now Dirk." Felcia Creamsbane responded. "You'll have to excuse poor Dirk here. He is a baffoon and a homosexual. What is it we can do for you?" She winked up at Rolf with her most charming expression.

Anyway, back to the example explanation-- the RPing would go back and forth like this-- Entirely In Character.
If the Player wanted to get a better look around, and say use his SPOT skill-- then you could write:
Rolf sat at the table listening to the banter of those around him-- but he wasn't quite listening-- no, he was keenly examining his suroundings in hope of spotting something-- ANYTHING useful. <SPOT CHECK>
---At this point the character would use the dice roller to roll his SPOT CHECK (1d20 + Any Skill modifiers) and have the result sent to the GM. The GM would in turn respond in the next Reply.

Rolf soon found something that caught his eye.
The GM would then Private Message the Player and let them know what is was that they saw. It would then be up to the player what to do next as shown...

"Hey guys" Rolf whispered in low tones meant only for those sitting around the tabel with him. "Don't look like you are staring, but you may want to have your eye wander over towards the bar. I think that the Bar Keep has been staring in our direction a little too long. See that evil glint? That's trouble."
Rolf leaned back in his chair trying to look natural, but you could sense the slight change in his demeanor-- he was a coiled spring waiting to move at a moments notice. He watched the Bar Keep from behing his tankard of wheat beer. His other hand trailed oh so slightly towards his knife.
