I know a gay guy and a lesbian couple and they are pretty nice people.

So I think that Homophobes should get with the times and GROW THE FUCK UP.

I'm with you, man. I also think we should get some non-homophobic politicians into the offices of America. How they feel they can tell gay people that they can't love one another just somehow incenses me. Our country claims to be a "great melting pot" yet it's politicians instead choose to discriminate against people who have a different view of love than them.

Who gives a shit if gays and lesbians marry each other, anyway? Why there seems to be this lingering stigma that gay marriages would in some fundamental way rip apart the moral fabric of our society is beyond my level of comprehension. It's nothing but bullshit. People in this country have an epidemic-level problem with sticking their noses into everyone else's business. People need to grow up already.

Here's a wild and crazy idea... maybe, just maybe gay marriages would increase the level of monogamy among the gay population. And that might translate to the transmission of fewer STD's. But we wouldn't want that to happen, now, would we?

I agree-- yet, I can see the homophobe's point of view--

I feel VERY uncomfortable with gay guys who are outright FLAMING-- It's just very unatural to me-- it gives me the proverbial "Heebie-Jeebies"--

Now, I have a very close friend who happens to be gay-- he's one of the kindest and coolest cats I know-- Thankfully, he doesn't make me feel uncomfortable-- and he understands the way I feel. He doesn't shove his homosexuality in my face, and I am able to get to know a gay man as a person.

BTW-- If you go through various posts on this site, you will see NUMOROUS slurs against all manor of race and creed-- Each of us enjoy making off-color comments about just about EVERYTHING-- including each other-- We do not hate based off of race, creed, or nationality... Unless you're Canadian-- Oh! And those damn Mexicans! ;D

Hating everyone equally is fine so long as you hate everyone for every reason.
