atzu87, huh. Strangely that brings back fond memories of being "at" the "zoo" in 19"78". After all the fun had been had for the day, my (at the time) 3 year old self walked back to the car with my mom in the then seemingly endless zoo parking lot. When we found our car, we also found a Mexican man slumped over its hood with a rather fashionable bullet hole in his chest complete with what now seems like an impossibly small amount of blood trickling down his chest. Ah, childhood memories sure are fun!

Hi I'm sort of new to D20 modern.
I've had the core rule book for months but I haven't been able to play it with anyone.
Atzu is a made up name for a character in a story I was writing. He is a young leopard man with a yellow pony tail down to his waist.
And of course 87 = 1987 the year I was born.

I was wondering if I could join a game?
I can make a "D20 Modern" character but it would be nice to know what type of character you might need so I can build the character around that.
I'll play a "Strong", "Tough", "Smart" or "Dedicated" with little disapproval but if you really need one I'll play a "Fast" or a "Charismatic"

It is nice to have a new face on the boards. Welcome. Please play heartily. We'll all thank you for it. At least, the ones of us who are on the boards often enough to play heartily ourselves. Myself being one such person, though, in a somewhat diminished capacity as of late, due to the lack of other player characters with whom I can effectively interact. But anyways, welcome aboard. Maybe if were lucky our characters will cross paths. And then much activity will ensue. See you on the gaming boards.

BLITZKRIEG: industrial espionage
This game is currently full-- However, there may be an opportunity to play as the character James Mercer AKA "Apollo". My friend Kevin has dropped off the face of the earth-- so his character is stopped, and it's screwing with one of the major threads of the game.
Read his character sheet and bio found on the Blitzkrieg Character sheets board.
TOON
Toon is ALWAYS open-- it isn't anime based as you previously speculated, but Saturday morning cartoon based-- The Scenario is a Parody of the PhobiaVerse-- each character being a dumber and more foolish version of a self that would exist in the serious side of the comicbook universe. No thought is involved in this game, and spontaneous nonsensical action is a must--
GREYCHRIST: Survival Horror
GC:SH is a straight-out Zombies-have-trashed-my-city-and-now-I'm-fucked kind of game. Take a look at the boards for this game and read up about what I'm looking for--

I'm still awaiting word from Apollo's handler-- if he continues to be AWOL, you may enter the game as his character.
Otherwise, the only other d20 MODERN game we got any openings in is the upcoming GREYCHRIST game.
And that's another thing, those players who wish to participate in the Greychrist game (namely: Jeremy & Joel... and perhaps Lyle?)-- feel free to start conceptualizing your run-of-the-mill survivor-- or if you REALLY want to play an I/E Operative-- post that too on the OOC.
Work out some background story together and I'll okay what will work in the context of my scenario--
So what will it be atzu87? Which do ya think ya might want--?

I'll play Greychrist but only because I really want to play d20 modern.
I'm not really into bashing the fuck out of dead things.
Coz your not really killing anything hey. lol
I'd love to play a covert canine moreaus. (the scent thing sounds cool).
I love thought provoking play.
not heaps of puzzles but a really interesting game session.

I love thought provoking play. not heaps of puzzles but a really interesting game session. Blitzkreig would surely be to your liking-- The scenario is that a Sci-type turns up dead. The corporation's special unit, codenamed: Blitzkrieg, is called in to investigate and to find the killer-- However, the worst storm of the century is blowing outside, and it doesn't look like there's gonna be a ride home anytime soon. I can't speak for it, but perhaps one of the other players can elaborate on the 'thought provoking play'-- Greychrist will be you against zombie hordes-- the HOW of survival is up to the individual player-- The EXACT storyline I will craft when I see what kinds of characters we have coming in, that and what kind of scenario the players are after-- -------- Check your PM inbox, Atza-- |
